Abe Katz

Abe Katz is a dual MPP and MBA candidate at Duke University Sanford School of Public Policy and UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. He earned his BA in Middle Eastern Politics & Arabic at Middlebury College in 2011. Before returning to school, Abe worked in Indian education in Lakota reservations in southwestern South Dakota. He joined Teach for America as a middle school teacher, and later worked as a researcher in a local nonprofit think-tank and training center. He is passionate about inclusive innovation in local economic development, and storytelling through data. In his free time, Abe enjoys playing music, learning (slowly) to code, drinking beer, and camping.
