NC Tiers Backgrounder

KIPE

NCGrowth and ncIMPACT have been funded by the NC Policy Collaboratory to research the tiers system as it being used today in order to conceptualize a process that may be used to improve the system, and more importantly, improve outcomes for the residents of North Carolina. This blog post lays out the context of the research, with stakeholder interviews being conducted through the fall. The final report, which will be submitted to the Collaboratory in December, will include summary of the interview findings and a proposed framework for undertaking a redesign of the system. Succession Planning Workshop Recap

The Succession Planning Workshop: Lessons in Wealth Building, held on September 12, 2024, at Johnson C. Smith University’s Grimes Lounge, brought together small business owners and experts to address critical strategies for business continuity and leadership transition. The workshop was in response to the expected wealth transfer of $72-$84 trillion over the next 20 years as Generation X, millennials, and Gen Z anticipate receiving the largest wealth transfer in U.S. history from Baby Boomers. NCGrowth is seeking a Program Manager to support responsible, Indigenous-led tourism development across the U.S. This fully-remote position will involve close collaboration with the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED) and focus on Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian communities.

 

Key responsibilities include supporting technical assistance activities, supervising graduate student analysts, and coordinating with regional specialists. Applicants with experience working with Tribal governments or Indigenous communities are encouraged to apply. Apply here
