Emily Magen is a dual Master of Public Policy and Master of Divinity student at Duke University, graduating in 2026. A proud first-generation college graduate and former high school Spanish teacher, she believes in the power of capacity building and human dignity. Emily enjoys distilling complex ideas into compelling stories and data-driven insights.

In her previous work, Emily has supported small nonprofits with communications, events, and grant writing, and she recently worked for the City of Raleigh on its 2050 Comprehensive Plan. She is passionate about community development, economic mobility, and human flourishing, and she is excited to join the NCGrowth team.
