Admin. & Communications Assistant

Zulekia Cloyd is a Program and Operations professional currently serving as the Administrative & Communications Assistant at NCGrowth, an affiliated center of the Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise at UNC‑Chapel Hill. In this role, she supports leadership and program teams by coordinating operations, managing priorities, and strengthening communications that advance equitable economic development across North Carolina.

Her work sits at the intersection of program management, community engagement, and mission execution. Zulekia brings a systems‑oriented, collaborative approach to initiatives that address real‑world challenges—particularly those focused on creating permanent, equitable affordable housing opportunities for underserved communities. She is a student at East Carolina University, pursuing a degree in University Studies while balancing professional and academic commitments. Outside of work, Zulekia enjoys cooking, crafting, traveling, and being an active cheer, dance and North Carolina A&T Blue & Gold Marching Machine band mom.
