For Rachit Tyagi, innovation is most meaningful when it improves people’s lives. Recent MBA UNC Kenan‑Flagler graduate, a current Pathways Operations Manager at Amazon, and an NCGrowth Analyst, he has built a career at the intersection of supply chain, sustainability, marketing, and finance—leveraging that blend of expertise to help organizations grow stronger and more resilient.
Rachit arrived at NCGrowth with a strong foundation shaped by his work at Suzuki, where he contributed to initiatives involving operations efficiency, electric vehicle battery systems, and digital customer engagement. These experiences sharpened his ability to think strategically about systems—how they work, how they break down, and how they can be rebuilt to deliver long‑lasting value.
At NCGrowth, Rachit has applied that systems‑thinking approach to projects that advance inclusive economic development across North Carolina.
Applying Strategy and Sustainability to Rural Agricultural Innovation
One highlight of Rachit’s recent work includes supporting Freedom Org as they build a new model for agricultural opportunity in Edgecombe County. The initiative focuses on expanding access to land, equipment, and training for emerging and underserved farmers—many of whom face barriers to entry in traditional farming systems.
Rachit contributed analytical and financial insights to help Freedom Org refine program structure, improve operational planning, and understand long-term sustainability pathways. His work supported strategic decisions around land leasing, equipment access, and diversified revenue models—ensuring the program can continue expanding opportunities for farmers while maintaining financial resilience.
This project allowed Rachit to bring together several of his core interests: sustainable systems, supply‑chain design, and mission-driven business strategy. It also deepened his commitment to work that strengthens rural economies and expands access to resources for historically underserved communities.
A Vision for Purpose‑Driven Innovation
Across all his projects, Rachit is known for his analytical rigor, cross‑disciplinary thinking, and strong grounding in sustainability principles. Whether he’s mapping workflows, modeling revenue structures, or reimagining operations, he approaches every challenge with a focus on creating impact that lasts.
Post graduation, Rachit continues to shape a professional path rooted in innovation and community. His contributions at NCGrowth reflect a powerful belief: that economic development is most transformative when it is inclusive, strategic, and built for long-term resilience.
With a passion for sustainable progress and a talent for turning complex problems into actionable solutions, Rachit Tyagi is helping build a future where innovation works for everyone.
