A North Carolina native, Fleming Beaver is excited to join NC Growth as an Analyst and give back to the state that has given him everything. After graduating from Sewanee: The University of the South, Fleming worked in political advocacy and electoral campaigns, scaling programs rapidly, managing complicated stakeholder relationships, and optimizing outreach processes to achieve maximum impact. He also worked on national programs for both political startups and national organizations, consulting local partners on how to integrate digital tools into their workflows, designing program strategy, and pitching donors.
Additionally, he has worked as a graduate fellow at the United States Small Business Administration’s Office of Innovation and Investment, focusing on innovation ecosystems and diversifying government technology contracts. As a graduate student, Fleming is a dual degree candidate for Masters in Public Policy at the Duke University Sanford School of Public Policy and in Business Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler School of Business, focusing on technology policy and innovation.
