Jie Liu is a Master of City and Regional Planning student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, specializing in land use and environmental planning, and graduating in 2026. With a background in GIS, remote sensing, and spatial data analysis, he is passionate about using technology to support sustainable community development.

At NCGrowth, Jie has contributed to tourism development efforts in Bladen County and the Roanoke River region, creating interactive Google Maps that highlight outdoor recreation assets, paddle routes, and nearby businesses.
